Name: Sam Winchester
Age: 24
Physical Appearance: Tall. Like…reaaaaaaally tall. Okay, so he’s 6’4”, but he towers over his older brother. He’s got longish hair that recently has been swept out of his face in a part up the middle (forsaking his emo bangs). He’s got green eyes, and he shaves. When he grins, really grins, he looks obscenely young and it’s obvious he’s the younger brother. But most of the time, he’s got his patented “Bitchface”™ on. He wears extra long jeans, a pair of Chuck Taylors, and usually a plaid button-down shirt over a t-shirt—not that you usually see that, his torso is usually covered in one hoody or another. Secretly, he’s friggen ripped.
Education: Completed two years of school at Stanford before having to drop out due to extenuating circumstances.
Occupation: Hunter. And none of that small time stuff like bears or moose or whatever, but badass supernatural stuff. Demons, spirits, succubi, you name it, he hunts it (and kills it if he’s convinced it’s evil).
Significant Other: Had a girlfriend, Jess, who is now dead.
Sexual Preference: Straight


Character Biography:
History (ZOMG MAJOR SPOLERS): Sam Winchester was born on May 2, 1983 to John and Mary Winchester in Lawrence Kansas. On his half birthday, a fire of unknown origin broke out in his bedroom, leaving his mom pinned to the ceiling, slashed almost in half. His father, after a bit of searching, found out that it was a demon that killed Mary, so he took his young sons on the road with him in his 1967 Chevy Impala to hunt it down and kill it. While John tracked down leads and gained experience, Sam was usually left alone with his older brother Dean who was his primary caretaker for awhile.

This helped cement a pretty close, brotherly bond between the two, but Sammy’s relationship with his father suffered from his absence and his insistence that a gun was far better reinsurance than a hug. This not being like normal kids set the stage for his departure at 18 for Stanford in California, and he was ordered never to return. Two years later, Sam was living normally and happily, when Dean shows up with the notion that they have to track their father down because he’s gone missing. By the time the finish their dad’s case and Sam get’s back home, he find his girlfriend slashed across the belly, on the ceiling and about to burn. Dean pulled his brother out of a fire for the second time, and Sam was now determined to find their dad and help kill the yellow-eyed demon.

This reintroduces Sam to hunting—and shows off his Mary Sue ability to sense danger before it happens—and gets him ready for his first big showdown with the demon that killed his mom and girlfriend. Unfortunately, it didn’t pan out, and the remaining Winchester clan was sent to the hospital with severe injuries. Dean was about to pass on, but he miraculously came out of his coma moments before John dropped dead.

The brothers burned their dad, fixed their car up and tried to come to terms with the gaping chasm that used to be their daddy. It was about now that Sam traded his emo bangs for the parted, forehead-of-doom look. The brothers go back to their simple job of saving people, hunting things, the family business, meeting a cast of wacky extras along the way, all the while eluding the cops, and killing spirits deader. At one point, Sam is so desperate for human contact outside his brother, that he gives up and has sex with a werewolf. (It’s really hot.)

A few adventures later, it’s time for the brothers Winchester to take on Ol’ Yeller again, and this attempt doesn’t go nearly as bad as the first one. In fact, it inspires Sam to show his brotherly affection and his intent to continue hunting evil. Which is pretty darn cool.

Personality in seven words or less: Loyal, smart, stubborn, determined, bitchy, reserved
How Others Perceive Your Character: Sam is a nice guy, but damned if he shouldn’t loosen up once in awhile. He’s uptight, but he’s got a heart of gold. He just needs to learn how to have fun.
Beliefs, Convictions, Morals: Sam was brought up to believe that evil was bad and has to be destroyed. But, sometimes, it doesn’t jive with his brother Dean’s idea that the supernatural is bad and has to be destroyed. If it’s not inherently evil, Sam’ll do everything he can to make sure that it stays living, even take on his own brother.
Reason(s) for Escaping to Canada: Recoup numerous losses, patch up some of those gashes and weeping wounds and hunker down in Canada. Kill some (evil) spirits. Oh, and to work on that Canadian accent.
Their DHAs [Dreams, Hopes, and Aspirations] for Canada: Just a change of scenery to something that’s not Vancouver America, and to catch some demons.
